I think we shouldn't get too carried away with Nelson's own birthchart, for one thing the timing is suspect, so Mars on the Ascendant must be discounted, and Neptune trine Pluto would be a generational aspect for many of the sailors fighting in the Napoleonic wars, their soldiering counterparts, and those at home, on both sides of the channel. Pluto conjunct Jupiter is a bit more specific, but would apply to many his age. What becomes apparent is how he embodies the archetypes through transits that shape the hero as known to the world.

Death of Horatio Nelson at Trafalgar

The transit event occurred at 16:30pm on 21 October 1805, and has a Rodden rating of B


Trafalgar was the key turning point in the history of Europe, and so the World, by influencing the outcome of the Napoleonic wars that eventually ended with Waterloo. Trafalgar gave Britain the advantage of naval supremacy. Nelson, turned a blind eye, expected that every man would do his duty, and died doing his duty, after he was shot by a sniper in the French rigging at 1:15pm.
