Elias Morgan's background


Elias Morgan was a convict in Liverpool's Altcourse Prison, he was found in possession of an illicit mobile phone with which he had been sexting with one of the prison officers, Sarah Williams. The phone was confiscated by prison officer Lenny Scott on 26 March 2020, at which time Morgan attempted to bribe Scott, and when this failed threatened him with death. Williams was arrested on 8 July 2020, and 3 and 1/2 years later jailed on 21 December 2023. At this point Morgan was out of prison, but was later known to have been casing Lenny Scott's home and gym on 3 January 2024, and on the 8 February 2024 Morgan executed an elaborate, but flawed plan, in which he assassinated Lenny Scott with 6 shots from a gun.


Elias Morgan was soon arrested, on 22 February, and was sentenced to over 45 more years in prison, on 2 September 2025. His time is not up until 2069.

Conviction of Sarah Williams

Sarah Williams pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office, and was jailed some three and a half years after her arrest, on 21 December 2023, well before Elias Morgan's own revenge plot against Lenny Scott came to a head.

Following a nine-week trial, Elias Morgan was convicted of murder and sentenced to a minimum of 45 years in prison on 2 September 2025.
