Henry Francis Brooke was a British Army brigadier-general who commanded the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the Kandahar Field Force. He was killed on 16 August 1880, in a sortie from Kandahar made in an attempt to save the life of a fellow officer, only weeks after the decisive British victory at the Battle of Kandahar that effectively ended the war.
